Have you heard of Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or Youtube?  If you have, great!  You already have a foot in the door.  If you haven’t, it’s time to get on board and find out about this fairly recent phenomenon!

You might ask, why do I need a Twitter feed, Facebook page, LinkedIn profile, a personal or business blog and possibly YouTube videos?  You might think it is a waste of time, or something that the “hipsters” use, but the truth is businesses are missing out on lost business opportunities and revenue streams if they do not utilize and market via Social Media.

According to internet traffic research website Quantcast.com, Twitter.com reaches an estimated 27.3 million US visitors per month, and Facebook.com reaches an even more incredible 124 MILLION visitors per month (a little more than 1/3 of the current estimated US population – 307,006,550 as of  July, 2009).   That’s a lot of potential customers, and Social Media also carries a very low cost value to it as well!
