PPC (Pay Per Click) is a dangerous and scary world to get into! If you don’t do it right, you have THOUSANDS of dollars out the door before you know what happened and absolutely NOTHING to show for it! Google doesn’t care if you made a mistake or don’t know what you’re doing, so make sure you DO know what you are doing before you go live.
Pay Per Click can be used to test search terms, or really try and take full advantage of what you know is a quality term. Be certain that you set your budget properly, if you spend $1,000 in a day on PPC are you sure you’re going to make any profit? Instead why not start out more conservatively, and raise the budget after testing the campaign to see if it converts or not?
Who cares if you can get 1,000 clicks per day if none of them convert into a sale or email list signup or phonecall?
PPC is all about targeting that customer that wants exactly what you have to offer, and then sending that customer to the exact page for that item and not your homepage where they then have to dig around and search for what they want.
One last thing to keep in mind… the #1 PPC result gets about the same as or LESS clicks than the #3 natural search result! Something to definitely keep in mind when considering PPC.
